What I fix in your driveway.

Honest scope. No upsell. If it's not in this list, ask anyway — most of the time the answer is yes.

Jump starts + dead batteries

Cold cranks at fourteen below. I roll a heated truck, jump it, test the alternator, and if the battery is cooked I have replacements on board.

Brake pads, rotors, calipers

Pads and rotors swapped in your driveway, no shop lift required. If a caliper has seized in the salt, I press it back in or replace it the same visit.

Check-engine diagnostics

OBD-II scanner, pending codes, freeze-frame data. Sensors, gaskets, vacuum leaks. I read the codes out loud so you know what you actually need.

Oil + filter, full fluid round

Synthetic where it should be synthetic. I check transmission, coolant, brake, and power-steering on the same visit. Old filter goes with me.

Alternator + starter replacement

If the belt squeals or the lights dim at idle, the alternator is asking for help. I carry the most common units for Subaru, Toyota, Ford, and Chevy.

No-start, won't-turn-over diagnosis

Fuel? Spark? Compression? I work through the tree in order, not guesses. If I can't fix it in the driveway, I tell you that before I leave.

Hand-traced from years of pulling the same things out of cars in this town. The cold is hard on three components above all.

Most no-start calls trace back to the alternator and the battery, in that order. The cold accelerates both.
Eight to ten thousand miles is when most plugs in Anchorage start misfiring. Iridiums hold up longer.
Studded winter tires plus low pressure equals premature wear. I check pressure on every visit, no charge.

Nine winters under hoods in this town. Subarus, Tacomas, F-150s, and the one Audi that should never have come north.

I learned to wrench in twenty below, because that's when cars actually break. A shop bay is comfortable. A driveway at ten below is not, and most mechanics will quote you a tow before they'll come out. I just come out.

Same-day when I can. No surprise charges. If I quote a job and find something else, I show you the part before I touch the bill. That's the whole pitch.

What people leave on the windshield after.

Truck wouldn't start, twelve below, my whole driveway buried in ice. Matty came inside two hours, found a dead alternator, swapped it, and I was at work by ten.
